Hello
we have beloved 88 pound yellow lab age 8 years just diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma
he has presumptive arthritis in front limb opposite to sarcoma which is right wrist
elbow dysphasia diagnosed clinically on both elbows
Is there any chance at all that an amputation of his right front limb would allow this dog to ever be mobile and ambulate given his age, his large size and weight and the presence of bilateral presumptive elbow dysplasia in both front limbs??
does anyone have experience of amputation on more mature large lab with underlying arthritis to begin with???
are we just torturing our beloved willie by putting him thru amputation and chemo to keep him alive another one year or less.???
appreciate any advice from someone who has been there.
